UK VISA REQUIREMENTS:
U.K. Passport or passport of any other nationality must have at least 6 months remaining validity from the day of entry into the country for which VISA has been applied. If validity is less than 6 months ETS will renew your passport (Fee's apply). Moreover nationals of EU countries with a valid national ID card for tourist visits not exceeding 3 months; nationals of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway and Switzerland holding a valid national ID card for tourist/social visits of less than 6 months and in possession of a British Visitor's Card available from travel agencies.

BRITISH RESIDENCY:
This visa can be granted once applicants have been living in UK for specified period of time on certain Visas. The applicant must not have spent too much time outside the UK or committed any offences. ILR enables people to travel freely in and out of the UK. They are subject to limited immigration control and can eventually apply for British Citizenship.

Citizenship visa for non-British peoples: Being a UK National brings a number of benefits, like unrestricted travel entry to UK, free movement within the EEA and the right to vote in UK elections.
